We’re excited to announce that Lely Center Mid-Atlantic is hosting its fourth annual event on November 5, 2024, and this year, we’re making it bigger and better than ever!
For the past three years, our event has been geared exclusively toward nutritionists, with a strong focus on optimizing dairy herd nutrition. But this year, we’re expanding the invitation to customers and prospective clients. Whether you’re a seasoned Lely user or someone curious about how our innovative systems can boost your operation’s efficiency, this event is for you.
What’s New for 2024?
Our focus this year will be on maximizing your results with the Lely Astronaut and Lely Vector Feeding System. These technologies have revolutionized dairy farming, and we want to help you get the most out of them. With expert insights, hands-on panels, and success stories, you’ll leave equipped with the knowledge to fine-tune your operations.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
1. Paul Peetz– Milking Technologies Manager, Lely International
Paul will take us on a journey through the lessons learned from Lely’s innovations over the years. His talk, titled “25 Years and 50,000 Machines Later: What Have We Learned?”, will offer a deep dive into how Lely’s technology has evolved and what that means for your farm.
2. Joel Eberhart – Commercial Product Manager, Lely North America
Joel will share his expertise on the Lely Vector system in his presentation, “Mastering the Lely Vector: Advising and Monitoring for Optimal Feeding.” Discover how to maximize the feeding efficiency on your farm and ensure that your cows are getting the best nutrition possible.
3. Astronaut & Vector Producer Panel
This year’s panel features an exciting and diverse group of producers who have successfully integrated Lely technology into their farms. They will share their unique experiences, management styles, and success stories. Here’s who you’ll hear from:
– Matt Brake, Oakleigh Farm: Pennsylvania’s first fully automated red barn, Matt and his family operate with 2 Lely Astronauts, a Vector, and a Discovery Collector. He’s so passionate about the Lely product line that he even works as a part-time salesperson for Lely Center Mid-Atlantic!
– Darren Charles, Charles Farm: Starting with 2 Astronaut A5’s, Darren loved the machines so much that he added a third. He also operates a Vector with 2 MFRs and has optimized his farm’s feeding routine for peak efficiency.
– Andrea Showers, Showerdale Holsteins: Andrea and her family run the dairy with 1 Astronaut A5 and a Discovery Collector. Her streamlined approach to milking has brought significant benefits to her operation.
– Doug Martin, Deep Run Creek: Doug is successfully running his farm with 3 used Astronaut A4 Robots, proving that even earlier models of Lely technology can continue to perform exceptionally.
– Jacob Copenhaver, Hide Away Dairy: Luke and his family operate 8 Astronaut A5’s and is Pennsylvania’s first “XL” Lely farm, showcasing what Lely technology can do for larger-scale operations.
This panel brings together a strong variety of stories and management styles, ensuring that there will be something valuable for everyone in attendance. Whether you’re just getting started with Lely products or you’re looking to expand your fleet, the insights and advice from these producers are sure to spark new ideas.
