June was a busy month for Lely Center Mid-Atlantic. Amos Fisher made his way to Pella, Iowa for the grand opening of Lely’s new production facility. The celebration included 350 people from Lely Center’s all over North America. Chad Huyser, President of Lely North America, said “with the opening of this new campus, Lely’s goals are to inspire future generations by providing innovative farming solutions that directly impact customers and Lely Centers throughout the U.S. and Canada. With this expansion, Lely will be able to significantly increase its production capacity in order to meet the growing needs of our North American Farmers.” Amos enjoyed seeing the production floor and was pleasantly surprised to recognize a name on one of the robots being made- a future customer of ours. The robot was delivered two weeks later and is now set in place on the farm!

The service team enjoyed a two-day training in the middle of June with Lely’s Aftermarket Field Specialist, Doug Marty. We toured the Lancaster DHIA lab and got a look at all the testing that is done behind the scenes. We also saw the newest shuttle in the lab and learned how it worked. The following day we were excited to see the shuttle being at the farm we were at. Our farm training included VADIA testing as well as a wash analysis using the new conductivity tool. We ended the day by sampling the farm’s homemade ice cream at their creamery and heckling the farmer in his parlor which is put on display for public viewing. It was a great two days of learning and enjoying team camaraderie.
